So that I can provide professional service to all my students, these policies must be followed:

  • Payment is made in the form of a non-refundable Monthly Tuition.
  • Lessons are one hour long. You have the choice of two lessons per month for $80.00, or four lessons per month for $160.00. For students scheduled on the 1st & 3rd week of the month, there is a free third lesson on some longer months. For weekly students, some longer months will include a free fifth lesson.
  • Full Monthly Tuition is due at the first lesson of each month. This exclusively reserves my time for each student. Full monthly tuition is always due to reserve the Instructor's time, regardless of the student’s attendance or absence.
  • If the student misses the first lesson of the month, full monthly tuition payment is still due, and must be dropped off to the instructor within three days. If a student plans to be absent for an extended period (for vacation, etc.), their time slot may be kept by paying the tuition in advance for the time to be missed. If the student will be absent for a full month or longer, their time slot can be reserved by paying 1/2 tuition in advance.
  • Students must call if they are going to unexpectedly miss an appointment. Also, students must call as soon as possible, if they will be more than 15 minutes late. If a student misses a lesson unannounced, they must call within 48 hours, to let me know they are keeping their time slot.
  • As a courtesy, when available, students are allowed three make-up lessons per year. (Students must give 48 hour notice to be eligible for makeups, and full monthly tuition is due as usual). Any make-ups must be scheduled during regular teaching hours. Once scheduled, make-up lessons can not be re-scheduled.
  • Students and responsible parties must remember their appointments, even when their normal schedules are in flux, ie; school breaks, birthdays, etc. Please remember that I am booked and present for all our appointments. Remember to pre-schedule your make-up lessons, or call me if you will be missing any appointments.
  • Unless I state otherwise, I teach on all regularly scheduled days except the following: July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
  • I will reschedule appointments that fall on any of these holidays in advance. It is the student's or responsible party's obligation to ensure that we have rescheduled these. Full monthly tuition is due as usual during these times. In any case when students will be unable to reschedule their regular appointments, due to their travel schedules, etc., full monthly tuition is due in advance, as usual. Lessons are held on all other holidays which fall on regularly scheduled lesson days. Accordingly, full monthly tuition is due for those periods, regardless of student attendance or absence.

In summary, I am committed in advance to being present at all of our appointments. Students must manage their schedules so that they prioritize their attendance, and utilize their free makeup lessons wisely. When lessons are to be missed, I require advance notice. Two weeks advance notice of lesson termination is required, so that I can fill open slots.

Please remember that failure to pay tuition on time, repeated absence without notice, or failure to keep contact with the instructor during times of absence, may result in termination of lessons at the instructor's sole discretion.
